By generating a turbulent flow the EMU-Miniprop prevents the formation of floating covers consisting of grease and solids in sump pumping stations. Medium speed EMU Uniprop submersible mixers are circulating sludge and cleaning stormwater retention tanks.
 
Low speed EMU-Maxiprop and EMU Megaprop submersible mixers are used in sewage treatment plants for the suspension of solids and for a selective flow generation. In activating, anaerobic and denitrification tanks low speed mixers prevent settling of activated sludge flakes, i.e. they stir them up and keep them in suspension.
 
Special backwards bent blades ensure a self-cleaning effect of the propeller even when there is long-fibrous matter in the liquid.
